“Spiritual Rhythms for Quarantine” Webinar

Tuesday, April 28 at 7:00 p.m.

We’re thrilled to host a web seminar with Justin Earley, writer of The Common Rule (winner of the 2020 Christianity Today - Book of the Year award). Justin will be speaking to our church about the importance of cultivating habits of Hope in a moment of fear. Justin’s book has been influential to a number of folks at Grace and we can’t wait to for you to hear from him.

Our households are at an incredible moment.

Suddenly, what has always been true is plainly apparent - we live in a dangerous world and our homes stand as missional outposts of love amidst that danger. This is our moment to rise to that call - and yet - at the same time, everything we have known about household rhythms is now disrupted.

This means we have a choice: either we form new rhythms that guide us towards God’s power in a time of humanity’s powerlessness, or, we will rapidly assimilate to distracted patterns, coping, and fear management.

It took a full-blown anxiety collapse years ago for me (Justin) to realize that unseen rhythms (mostly of technology and busyness) were reshaping my heart and my household. We live in an unprecedented age of distraction, and in quarantine, our technology and work habits matter more than ever - not just to our mental health, but to our family’s discipleship to Jesus.

This session will be on how habits are forming you more than you think, and how we can design new routines (especially during quarantine) that form us in the love of God and neighbor.
